Privacy Policy
Effective date: 3 November 2026.
North is an iPhone app for members who are 13 or older. This policy says what the developer of North collects, why it is collected, and how a member deletes it.
Who may use North
North is for people 13 and older. During sign-up the member types an age. An age under 13 is refused and no account is created. The typed age is not a government ID check. North is not directed to children under 13.
Information you provide
North collects the name, email address, username, and age you enter, so it can create the account, sign you in, send a confirmation code or a password reset, and apply the 13+ limit.
You may add a bio and a profile photo. The photo is stored on Cloudflare R2 so other members can see it where North shows your profile.
You may enter body weight, habits, tasks, goals, workouts, and meals. North uses these to show your board, your rank, and your nutrition record to you.
Journal text is saved so you can read your own reflections. Journal text is private to you. Other members do not see it.
Posts, replies, votes, chat messages, friend connections, and nudges are saved to run the community. Posts and chat messages are visible to other members. You can report a post or a member, and you can block a member. Moderators can hide a post, pin a post, and ban a member.
Information used to run the app
North stores a push token for your account so it can send notifications you allow.
North sends your member id to PostHog in the United States to understand how the app is used. PostHog does not receive your email address. Session replay is off, so journal text is not recorded there.
North sends your member id to Superwall so a purchase can be tied to your account.
Apple bills the subscription to your Apple ID. North does not receive your card number. North receives the subscription status.
Screen Time app tokens stay on your iPhone. They are not sent to North's servers.
North does not sell personal information. North does not show advertising, and it does not share personal information for advertising.
Why this information is used
North uses this information to provide the account, the board, the community, notifications, and the subscription, and to keep the service working. Health and fitness entries, including body weight, meals, and workouts, are used to show you your own record. They are not used to advertise, and they are not a medical diagnosis or a treatment plan.
How long it is kept
North keeps this information while the account exists.
You can delete the account in the app. That deletion removes your rows from North, including your profile photo. It does not delete the profile PostHog holds for your member id, and it does not delete the profile Superwall holds for your member id. Those two services may keep that id until the developer of North deletes it in PostHog and in Superwall. Apple keeps its own purchase records under Apple's terms.
Screen Time tokens never leave the iPhone.
Your choices
You may update your profile in the app. You may delete the account in the app. You may turn notifications off in iOS Settings. You may email gabrielvidalgondim@gmail.com to ask for access to the information North holds, or to ask a question about this policy. Do not send your password.
Members in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and California can use that same email to ask for access, correction, or deletion, and to object to a use of their information. North does not sell personal information, so there is no sale to opt out of.
PostHog, Superwall, Cloudflare, and Apple receive only the information described above, and only for the purpose described above.
